Alfred Gonga

Replications Director

Alfred first became involved with Riders for Health in 1996 and he is now in charge of replicating our programmes in new countries in Africa.
Alfred was a prominent member of the team that set up Riders in Zimbabwe in 1998 and led the programme as Country Director, managing the first vehicles for the Ministry of Health. Alfred has also been principal of the International Academy of Vehicle Management (IAVM) in Harare
In 2009, Alfred established Riders programme in Zambia where he has been integral to the development of the programme in Eastern and Southern Provinces. He has also overseen Stanford University’s evaluation study in the south of the country. Most recently, Alfred has set up Malawi program.
Alfred spent a month in Sierra Leone in the latter part of 2014 and as a senior and highly experienced member of Riders’ global team, has been in Liberia since March 2015 helping to establish and implement Riders’ Sample Transport and Fleet Management projects.
Alfred is currently doing Masters in Business Management
